The Ibanez TS808HW brings the familiar Tube Screamer voice to a hand-wired take on the classic TS808. This pack brings that pedal into your NAM rig, giving you its focused midrange push, controlled low end, and singing overdrive without committing to a boost baked into an amp capture.

Use it to tighten a high-gain amp, push a clean or edge-of-breakup model into richer drive, or bring a lead forward with that unmistakable green-pedal character. Keep the pedal and amp separate, and choose the combination that works for your guitar, tuning, and playing style.

The sound

A focused midrange, leaner bass, and rounded overdrive give this pack its familiar Tube Screamer voice. Lower-drive settings put the emphasis on the amp, adding definition and a useful push up front. As the drive increases, the pedal contributes more grit, compression, and sustain.

Into a driven amp, that low-end control helps keep rhythm parts defined while the mids give single-note lines more presence. Into a cleaner amp, the pedal becomes a larger part of the sound, moving toward classic, mid-forward overdrive.

Use it your way

• Tighten a high-gain rig: Start with a lower-drive setting before your amp model to focus the low end and bring out pick attack.
• Push an edge-of-breakup amp: Add drive and midrange emphasis without replacing the amp’s basic character.
• Build a lead sound: Choose a higher-drive setting for more pedal-generated sustain and compression.
• Mix and match: Pair the TS808HW with different amp captures rather than being locked into one boosted rig.

Place the pedal model before your amp model, just as you would put the physical pedal in front of an amplifier. With a DI amp model, follow the amp with your cabinet IR. With a full-rig capture, use its existing cabinet sound.

Notes

These are pedal-only DI captures. Stack them in front of any amp NAM model in your chain - they pair especially well with my Twin Reverb, Laney GH100L and Mesa Dual Rectifier packs, both of which take boost pedals exceptionally well.

Because these captures preserve the natural behavior of the real pedal, different Gain/Level settings are intentionally recorded at their genuine relative levels. Please use your DAW or NAM's output controls to match loudness between presets to taste while keeping the underlying dynamics intact.

As with any analog overdrive, component tolerances, power supply conditions, pickups, and the amp or model following the pedal all affect the final result. The included models are intended as a versatile collection of real-world pedal settings - not a replacement for careful gain staging in your own rig.
